Wouldn’t it be nice?

Via Protos, Paraguay is cracking down on bitcoin “miners”. Good to see a government acting sanely for once. The article includes two other surprising facts. Paraguay probably has the cleanest energy of any country, with essentially all of its power from one hydro dam. The dam makes extra profit by selling part of its power to Brazil.

The bitcoiners are sapping the power that should be used by people, causing some blackouts. So the government decided to get rid of them. Too bad our government can’t do the same. The “miners”, gangsters like all bitcoiners, were bribing employees of the power company to get unpaid connections to substations. The government is prosecuting the corrupt engineers.

Public anger toward these crypto miners has pushed the government to enact laws that will allow its courts to sentence energy thieves to up to 10 years.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a government that OBEYED public anger? Can’t happen here! We have a DEMOCRACY!
