Europe continues buying oil and gas from Russia while pretending to obey our monstrous sanctions. Euro countries are simply buying the stuff from India and China, adding a middleman profit. Russia still gets paid the same, while Europe pays more to keep the lights on.
Sanctions NEVER harm the target government. Sanctions ALWAYS harm the empire that places the sanctions.
Prohibiting a necessary product ALWAYS creates sneaky middlemen, usually gangsters. People will continue to buy the product from the same source, while UNNECESSARY middlemen are adding to the cost.
It’s the old Bootleggers and Baptists routine. Baptists don’t care what you do as long as you say the right things in church. Bootleggers don’t care what you say in church as long as you pay high prices for the liquor they smuggle from Canada.
US doesn’t care what you do as long as you say the right things in media. China and India don’t care what you say in media as long as you pay high prices for the oil they smuggle from Russia.
