Since I’ve been tracking the Craig Wright trial, here’s the latest from Protos.
The court that found him guilty of fraud gave him until Aug 5 to file an appeal. Two online accounts that claim to be Wright announced that he had filed the appeal. In fact he didn’t, so there’s no further chance.
The X account in question shared the body of text Wright is legally obligated to post following injunctions from the court, suggesting it may indeed be his. Judge Mellor also ruled these notices should be shared on his Slack channels where the appeal claim was made. This may suggest that the accounts are run by Wright or on his behalf, meaning it’s likely he’s lied about any appeal filings.
Perfectly consistent. Wright is a professional criminal, with an unquenchable mission and passion for cheating and lying about EVERY FUCKING THING IN LIFE. Even when the lie takes lots of work and gains nothing, a pro criminal will lie.
