What did I expect?

I was getting annoyed by the fact that desistors don’t get clicks or popularity. It’s UNFAAAAIIIR!

That’s exactly why I desist from activism! Clicks are doled out by the algorithms, expressly designed to steer the lab rats into exactly two paths.

Why did I EXPECT to get readers and clicks by staying off the teams? I’ve known this since the 80s but neglected to think of it from the opposite angle.
