Purely for my own purposes.
Before 2020, I thought gathering facts was an important part of science and life. The perfect unimaginable horror of 2020 taught me that “facts” and “laws” have no consequence at all. No matter how many “investigations” and “revelations” and “lawsuits” we make, rulers will continue doing what they want. If they want to strangle everyone, they will. If they want to make war against their own people, they will. If they want to serve their people, they will. Machiavelli is ALL.
BUT: I need to temper this total dismissal. Knowing facts makes no difference to the rulers, but it does make a difference in our response. Good example is the Wikileaks archive of old CIA documents. Without this archive, we would automatically believe Deepstate’s false blaming and framing. When Deepstate blames Russia or “misinformers” for its own crimes, we will enthusiastically help the wars on Russia or “misinformers”. When we know that all of this shit was organized and funded and planned by CIA, we won’t be fooled. We won’t be inclined to ENLIST in the wars and genocides. We will DESIST when possible.
The DNC leaks of 2016 are another example from the same source. Without these facts we’d go along with the notion that Trump was a rebel who needed to be suppressed. With the facts we recognize that Trump was working for DNC, along with all the other “candidates”.
