Some of Billy Graham’s descendants are supporting the Democrat side, rebelling against Billy’s son Franklin.
They wrote to Franklin:
The issue, Franklin, is that in your worship of Trump you have forsaken the gospel. We are voting for Harris but we only worship Jesus.
Exactly. The 1st commandment is clear. There’s one god, and you can’t worship emperors instead of the one god.
BUT: Franklin’s blasphemy is vastly worse. Trump isn’t just some earthly ruler.
TRUMP IS THE MAN WHO CLOSED ALL THE CHURCHES.
TRUMP IS THE MAN WHO TORTURED ALL THE BELIEVERS.
No ruler in recent centuries closed all the churches. No ruler in all of history strangled the believers.
Stalin didn’t close the churches. He simply continued tsarist practice which was normal in most of Europe. He coopted the Established church and persecuted other churches. Remember that some of our founders, and many refugees in later years, came here to escape persecution of unorthodox believers in Europe and tsarist Russia and England.
Apparently the source of this little dispute is an ad by the Harris side claiming that Billy wouldn’t have worshipped Trump. Unfortunately they’re wrong. Billy befriended and collaborated with Satan Nixon. Franklin is following in Billy’s cloven hoofsteps. The other group is trying to be less blasphemous.
