Good work but pointless

A good speech by Lankford of Oklahoma. He runs through all the important issues, details what Congress COULD do about each issue if it had any purpose, then asks why nothing ever happens. If Congress was even slightly functional, this speech would get them off their collective asses. Unfortunately it can’t happen.

He says most of the members recognize their uselessness and don’t like it. Well, why not DO something? Apparently the whole concept of DOING is alien to whoever is really in charge.

For 50 years Congress has fenced itself in with more and more internal “rules” designed to prevent itself from working. If a normal human tried this gambit for even a week, he’d be punished or fired.
