Gold rush

At the moment it looks like the AI bubble may be an indirectly productive bubble, like the Gold Rush of the 1840s that didn’t make anyone rich from gold but started lots of cities and several substantial business empires.

Many of the companies that poured billions into AI in hopes of wiping out humanity are finding that it’s hard to monetize their huge investment. AI has replaced customer service, but so far it hasn’t replaced human writers for movies and books. The cost of labor to recursively fine-tune the prompts for a longer production is comparable to the cost of simple human writing.

At the same time, the huge need for power has inspired governments to restart nuclear, as they realize the unbreakable truth that wind and solar can NEVER be reliable. Nuclear is THE most clean and efficient source of electricity, and faster adoption will lead to a much better future with or without AI.
