Dems are screeching after Bezos refused to let his pet newspaper endorse Harris. From my viewpoint this is a small return to something like objectivity, a small move toward normal business where you try to sell stuff to EVERYONE, not just to an exclusive club.
Stoller, the monopoly dude, sees it differently. At first I didn’t like his view, but it makes sense. He says the Dems are screeching from Cognitive Dissonance. Until now they’ve blindly served the Tech Billionaires, and the Tech monsters have returned the loyalty by unswervingly supporting all Dem causes and candidates. Now the biggest billionaire is breaking the pledge in a tiny way, clapping only 99 times instead of the mandated 100 times.
Stoller says Dems are just starting to recognize that serving billionaires is destructive. Billionaires have only one thing in mind, and I mean ONE THING. Bezos wants to be the only thing in the universe. Trump wants to be the only thing in the universe. Soros wants to be the only thing in the universe.
If you want to exist, you shouldn’t place all your loyalty on a monster who wants you to stop existing.
Trump doesn’t care about you. Bezos doesn’t care about you. Trump only cares about Trump. Bezos only cares about Bezos.
You should be caring for yourself and your neighborhood and your family.
