I was already annoyed with TDS Fiber. Last summer they parked their excavators in the middle of my yard and blocked my entry while making noise all day. They were digging tunnels for cables which were NOT NEEDED, since CenturyLink and Comcast already provide service in this neighborhood. But the city dysgovernment gave TDS some kind of special permission to violate all property rights for an installation that nobody wanted.
Last night I was awakened at 7PM in full darkness by somebody shouting HELLO and knocking loudly on the door. I got up and tried to ignore it, but then he knocked on the WALL next to where I was standing. Finally I opened the door, thinking he was trying to warn me of a fire or something.
It was a TDS salesman with flashlight and iPhone showing the TDS pitch. He made his pitch with equal persistence, though I kept yelling I DON’T WANT IT! I DON’T WANT IT! I ALREADY HAVE CABLE!
Finally he walked away after scaring me shitless and throwing me into a panic fit that will take several days to recover.
I posted a scathing review of TDS on the Better Business Bureau, noticing that they already rate TDS as F and didn’t accredit it. The existing reviews were equally nasty, reporting that TDS tore up their houses trying to install service and then didn’t work.
