When evil government allows a problem to grow intolerable, people WILL do something about it. Often the reaction is extreme and uncontrolled because the problem is extreme. Revolutions happen when inequality is too monstrous to stand. When government refuses to punish real criminals, people WILL punish and execute real criminals, whether in neighborhoods or giant evil companies.
If you don’t want a revolution or informal justice, FIX THE GODDAMN PROBLEM.
Immigration is a classic example. Starting with Bush, both parties have been inviting millions of working men from Latin America TO REPLACE AMERICAN WORKING MEN. Now the problem is intolerable, and many people are persuaded to blame the immigrants themselves. Trump is pretending to fix this with mass deportation, which will NOT solve the essential problem and won’t happen anyway. Nothing Trump promises ever happens. He has been breaking promises, violating contracts, and betraying people since the moment he was born, and probably stole his mother’s placenta before he was born.
If the other Repooflicans and Democrats didn’t want to see this, and if they didn’t want to see real justice taking out evil corporate leaders, they should have FIXED THE PROBLEM or at fucking least STOPPED MAKING IT WORSE.
FDR faced the same problem after 20 years of Wall Street bombing had reduced America to ruins and ashes. Revolutions of “right” and “left” flavors were gathering force and threatening to create civil war. He started FIXING THE GODDAMN PROBLEM in his first hour in office, after carefully preparing a team and a plan. First he closed and cleaned up the banks, then started vast programs of rebuilding and reindustrializing and retraining farmers and workers. After 1945 the system kept working for 30 years while Deepstate was trying its damndest to undermine the progress and bring back ruins and devastation. From Carter to Trump every administration systematically dismantled part of the New Deal. Now it’s all gone.
The Biden admin was trying to turn things around in a small way, but the restorative parts were operating with very little support from the rest of the bureaucracy, and no support at all from politicians and media. All media, both “left” and “right”, has been pushing back HARD against the efforts of Jerome Powell and Jonathan Kanter and Lina Khan to constrain the Wall Street terrorists and restore real business. The Dem campaign this year totally ignored the real solutions, failed to sell the good product. It only screeched about weird meaningless empty words like “democracy” and “january6violentinsurrection”.
