Willys has been the ultimate survivor and rescuer. First it survived the excesses of founder John North Willys, who built the company up to success as #3 brand in the 1910s then got carried away with mergers and acquisitions. Walter Chrysler took over in 1923 and reorganized it, then moved on to turn Maxwell into Chrysler.
Willys was failing again in 1933, and was rescued by bankruptcy and reorganization. The compact Willys 77 was the foundation for everything that followed. Joe Frazer picked up the company and got the Jeep underway in 1941. Frazer was kicked out by Ward Canaday after the war. In 1953 Willys was picked up by Kaiser, and Willys rescued Kaiser. In 1970 AMC picked it up, and then Willys rescued AMC. After AMC was ruined by the globalist Renault takeover, Chrysler picked up Willys, and then Willys saved Chrysler.
Finally Chrysler has been gobbled up by the biggest global monster of all, Stompglompis or whatever it’s called. For the first time Willys may fail to rescue its gobbler.
This video interviews many Willys factory workers who testify that Stickemupis is playing the classic LBO game. Fire half the workers, demand shitty quality, then close the company and steal the assets. Previous Willys gobblers maintained quality and allowed Willys to save them from bankruptcy.
