If this is a war, I’m on the other side

Defending Deepstate indoctrination in the worst way:

= = = = = START QUOTE:

There is a major war on the humanities and any form of multidisciplinary thinking and human formation, if you haven’t noticed in the past 24 hours—advocates of the kind of lame, siloed educational system that manufactures STEM students on assembly lines for engineering jobs, and which could never produce a polymath like René Girard, Nassim Taleb, Stephen Wolfram, or Michael Polanyi.

= = = = = END QUOTE.

If you want to call it a war, then I’m happily and eagerly on the aggressor side. The humanities DESTROY original thinking far more often than they cultivate it. The best ‘polymaths’ had very little formal education.

Deepstate LOVES to hire humanities graduates. Deepstate NEVER hires farmers or vo-tech graduates. Farmers and plumbers and phone techs have to think creatively all the time. They’re far less likely to go along with official nonsense.

Engineering colleges recognize that the humanities ruin thinking, and often develop their own separate lines of courses for communication and history and even physics.
