Wait for the dust

Trump has written some nice-sounding executive orders, pulling us out of the Paris Climate Hoax and the World Hitler Organization. He revoked the destructive “green” “new” “deal”, which is good, but he ALSO stopped the Biden admin’s quiet unadvertised restoration of some REAL New Deal policies by replacing Lina Khan. The latter action is real.**

I’m going to wait for the dust to settle. We know from 2017 that orders are meaningless if the bureaucrats won’t enforce them. The bureaucrats paused a few months to see if Trump was serious about his promises. By March they had figured out he was an annoying mosquito, so they ignored him and proceeded with their normal business of ruining the country. The bureaucrats waited for the dust to settle, so I’ll do the same thing this time. Parkinson’s Law is absolute.

In his first term Trump wrote other nice-sounding orders that were DESIGNED to be ignorable. Instead of ordering the swamp to do the right thing, he merely suggested that the swamp might THINK about doing the right thing IF IT WANTS TO. It doesn’t want to do the right thing, so it legally ignored the fake intention.

Trump’s promises were somewhat different this time, but bureaucracies never change unless REAL force is applied from above, by a ruler who has a REAL power base to push from. Newton’s Laws aren’t quite as absolute as Parkinson, but they apply here.

F=ma. If you’re standing on a rowboat and you try to force an ocean liner to move, you’ll just float away. If you’re standing on the ocean liner and you try to move the rowboat, you’ll succeed. FDR had an ocean liner. He had a firm and permanent purpose and a loyal team of co-pushers, prestaged in positions where they could apply the most effective vectors. Trump doesn’t have co-pushers because EVERYONE knows by now that he will toss you aside in a few months no matter how hard you work for him.

** Expanding this point. Exec orders are mostly symbolic, mostly advertising slogans to pull in bucks from the cultists. Very few of them on either side are meant to cause real action. Removing our membership in the global monsters doesn’t change anything. We’ve been a member of UN since we founded it, but we only obey UN orders when we would be doing the same thing anyway, so it’s not obedience. Global organizations don’t have real power. Agency heads DO have real power. Replacing an agency head changes the direction of real policy because the agencies ARE the government. Congresses and presidents are largely symbolic. Trump has replaced the New Deal-ish Biden agency heads with solid Wall Street types and Bitcoin types, guaranteeing that the nascent positive change will be reversed, roaring forward with fraud and crime again.
