The NGOs that profit from government grants to exploit immigrants and poor people and enrich the CEOs are starting to feel the pinch. Catholic Charities, implementing the Bergoglian mission of ruining local workers by importing cheap labor … which is also uncoincidentally the Wall Street mission … is having to lay off part of its exploiters. The Bergoglians are bitterly complaining. Good. About fucking time.
In the first fucking place, federal subsidies or tax exemptions for churches would be unconstitutional if we had a constitution. The old obsolete “constitution” said:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.
Funding a church IS establishment of religion. That’s the entire precise literal DEFINITION. When government funds SOME churches it includes those churches as PART of the government, and those churches behave like part of the government. The unfunded churches have far more trouble competing against subsidized and exempted churches. This is EXACTLY what the old British government did, and EXACTLY what the Soviet government did with the Russian Orthodox Church. The result was EXACTLY what the government wanted.
