I’m obsessing on Canada lately, which is definitely atypical and surprised me when it happened. What’s going on? Since 2020 I’ve been HUNGRY to find ANY government ANYWHERE** that is doing the right thing. I don’t ENJOY hating all rulers. It isn’t fun.
Before 2020 I appreciated several governments, notably Russia. In 2020 all governments except Tanzania and Burundi joined the holocaust.
Canada was among the worst. Trudeau picked up Trump’s lead and multiplied it, using far more police force against dissidents.
Now Trump is exerting his natural aggression in a new way, and Trudeau is responding oppositely. For the first time in recent decades a ruler of the EU/UK/US group is trying to do the right thing, trying to HELP his own people instead of enriching the rich and ruining his own people. Most other Canadian politicians are turning in the same good direction. I need to celebrate good behavior even when the same leaders were evil before. Reform is possible, though we’ll never get repentance.
