Could learn, won’t.

Polls show that Trudeau’s party is overtaking Poilievre’s conservatives.

There’s a wildly obvious lesson here. If you want customers, offer a GOOD PRODUCT that can SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS. If you want votes, offer a GOOD PRODUCT that can SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS. Before this year, Trudeau was a poisonous product and his party had lost all possibility of support. He had been CREATING PROBLEMS instead of SOLVING PROBLEMS for at least four years, probably longer. Poilievre grabbed the opportunity, offering SOLUTIONS that are KNOWN TO WORK.

After Trump posed a real economic threat for the first time, Trudeau’s party suddenly switched from meaningless shouting and stomping on truckers, to WORKING FOR THE WORKING CLASS. Now that his product is starting to SOLVE PROBLEMS, the opposition no longer looks attractive.

I’m still amazed that Trudeau learned the lesson. Our Dems could learn something from this lesson, but they can’t and won’t. They already had the IDEAL EXAMLPE of the same lesson taught by FDR. If they couldn’t learn from their own best teacher, they won’t learn from anything.

The switch is unfortunate in one way, since Poilievre appears to be a much more honest and normal human being than Trump or Trudeau, with much less history of corruption and connivance.

BUT: When good things are happening, don’t speculate that things might have been even better. Appreciate the good.

After the big switch, it should be easier to maintain the good solutions, and Poilievre is young and adaptable and opportunistic. He’ll get his chance.
