Trump is doing good POPULIST things for other countries, but so far not doing anything new for this country. He forced Canada and Mexico to become populist, to start serving their OWN interests instead of serving Bezos and Fink. Both countries are abandoning the Gaian demonic religion in order to give JOBS and PROFITS to their OWN people.
He’s halting the Ukraine war, which WE STARTED. This will help Ukraine and Russia in obvious ways, and will also help Europe if Europe can get its Gaian head out of its Gaian ass for a few minutes.
So far he hasn’t done anything positive for America. Tariffs without a proper industrial policy will make things more expensive. Trump is reorienting energy TALK toward nuclear, but energy POLICY was already changed in mid-2024 by Congress and the Biden admin. He’s also reorienting the TALK toward oil, but Biden never abandoned oil. US oil production continued expanding under Biden.
The most important incentive for reshoring is the loss of QE/ZIRP, reshaping corporate goals toward profit and production instead of pure finance. Powell made this change in 2022. Trump has made noises about FIRING Powell instead of SUPPORTING him. Trump hasn’t fired Powell yet, so at least he hasn’t reversed the trend.
