What Trump is doing now is the same sort of thing he did in 2020, but much more narrowly specialized. Both times he ruined normal people and rewarded devils.
In his first term, especially in 2020, he shut down everything except the tech tyrants and enriched the tech tyrants. The effect was broad, including Bezos and Zuck and Elon, along with other tech services like Cisco and Comcast. Everything that ran on or around the web got richer**. The real economy, real education, and real churches died.
This time Trump is serving exactly one tech tyrant. Elon needed to own the universe, and now he’s doing it. He’s shutting down the parts of government that failed to pay Elon, and leaving the parts that paid Elon. So far he’s not directly shutting down his tech competitors or real business, but I’m sure he’ll get around to them soon. Elon works fast.
