Manweller’s Rule: “Elections” only count when they agree with the ruler. No “election” can be allowed to do the right thing. If any candidate or proposition attempts to do good, the parties will first remove all support and funding from the good thing. If that fails, the “election” or “proposition” will be summarily rejected.
Spokane’s “voters” attempted to do the right thing with a referendum to ban homeless camps near schools, parks and childcare centers. Now the state supreme “court” has Manwellered the “referendum”.

Later: The city council had an opportunity to rewrite the law so it might pass “court” scrutiny, but decided not to. Unsurprising. The council’s JOB is to oppose everything the people want. The council implements Manweller directly and blatantly. When a heretic makes it past the usual pre-emptive barriers of media banning and defunding, the existing members kick him out and appoint a reliable new member.
