Carney continues handling the psychopath correctly. US Democrats could learn something if they were capable of learning, but they aren’t.
Russia has been playing this game for centuries, handling first Napoleon then Wilson then Tojo then Hitler then every US president since 1945. Maintain your ground connection. Absorb the punches. Bend back and forth but don’t uproot. Psychopaths have a short attention span and lose interest when the victim isn’t reacting to every sudden switchback.
The Russian approach doesn’t feel satisfying while you’re being whipsawed. It’s natural to want instant revenge for each new slap and kick. In the end survival is more satisfying than useless martyrdom.
My only worry is that Carney is missing the chance to latch onto the massive ground rod that Russia has been maintaining for centuries. He’s still HELPING Trump in our perpetual hyperinsane hyperevil war against Russia.
Physical and cultural geography should make Canada the MOST LOGICAL connector to Russia. Canada and Russia share the Arctic, and share the cultural shaping of cold climates. Long before Euros ventured northward, the natives of the north were migrating freely around the Arctic Circle, and their influence shaped the cultures and epigenes of the Euros who moved into that area.
Carney recognizes that winter is the source of Canada’s strength. Ideally he should be working in common harness with the other winter people. General Winter was Russia’s strongest military force, its secret weapon that couldn’t possibly be duplicated by mercurial warm weather types.
