The Postal Service has a long series of podcasts. They’ve been producing these half-hour programs for 4 years; I just now heard about it.
Great listening for an analog fan and an FDR fan. The post office is one of the best parts of the mainly fucked federal government, true to the FDR spirit. It has always tried to serve rural and poor people who can’t afford the latest and greatest expensive communication gimmicks, whether the latest was telegraphs or telephones or cars or cellphones.
Each podcast features one aspect of the post office. History, technical advances, international services, postal vehicles, fraud investigations. All of those subjects match my interests like the leaf and stock of a tally.
It’s important to promote and boost the good parts of government while Lord Elon is trying to destroy the good parts and magnify the bad parts.
