Following on earlier item about Elon’s “efficiency” crusade, where I showed that Social Security, which Elon wants to destroy for “inefficiency”, is infinitely more efficient than Elon.
Elon also complains, along with all Repooflicans in all decades, that federal agencies shouldn’t get any money from taxes. Rich fuckheads shouldn’t be nominally required to pay taxes, even though they never pay taxes anyway. All money in the world must go to rich fuckheads.
Who’s getting more welfare?

In other words, the Post Office gets 99.94% of its income from commercial and private customers, and only six hundredths of one percent from the government.
Is it Elon?
I can’t find an annual figure, but sources estimate that he’s received $38 billion from government contracts out of $300 billion total revenue over the years. That’s about 13% of his total income. This doesn’t seem to include the tricky gimmick of selling “emissions credits”, which are mainly at the state level in crazy states like Calif and Wash. Another source says that 25% of Tesla’s net income is from these gimmicks, not from selling cars.
Repooflicans like to talk about makers vs takers.
Post Office is 99.94% maker. Elon is only 87% maker.
If Elon really wanted to privatize the government he’d hold up the PO as a shining example of the right way to do it. Instead he’s trying to ruin the PO along with everything else that makes a profit. He just wants to ruin everything he doesn’t own.
