QA done.

Finished doing the testing and QA on the latest version of courseware, two months before the deadline. The previous edition in 2018 was hasty with too many shortcuts. This year I’ve made a vow to balance out the universal Engagement and Enshitification with careful work.

For the newer chapters I’ve added more value with texts and animations partly inspired by medieval history. I’ve had fun making some audio and video segments. In previous editions, browsers weren’t capable of handling videos reliably. The “freedom” of the web forces creators down to the least common denominator. The more “restrictive” systems of separate computers allowed far more freedom.

Hard to stay inspired. There’s no external reward for quality now; all the money and applause go to the nastiest insults and the sloppiest work. Everything is cults, solely based on exclusion and orthodoxy.

Carver said it:
Start where you are.
Work with what you have.
Make something of it.
Never give up.
