This is impressive! In a sane world it wouldn’t be impressive; it would be the expected default attitude of a state or provincial governor. We aren’t in a sane world.
The premier of New Brunswick says clearly and firmly that her purpose, and the purpose of the province, is to build and strengthen Canada. The other premiers have expressed a similar attitude.
You won’t hear this from US governors. They are pure mechanical partybots. The purpose of the state depends binarily and mechanically on the team T-shirt of the current president.
If the president is wearing MY team’s shirt, the sole permanent purpose of the state is to worship, adore, and glorify the Holy president.
If the president is wearing the OTHER team’s shirt, the sole permanent purpose of the state is to protest, tear down, and destroy the Unholy president.
Building and strengthening are alien concepts to our governors.
