The “city” “government” could solve two problems at once with One Weird Trick, but they won’t.
REAL problem: Bums are lighting campfires everywhere for cooking, even in 95-degree weather. Bums cause wildfires everywhere, keeping the fire dept busy and occasionally getting out of control.
The “city” doesn’t see this as a problem unless the fires get too close to police or “city” hall. Then they arrest the bums.
FAKE problem: Bums are emitting EVIL CARBON with their wildfires. (This is the real problem as seen by the Gaian “city”.)
Real solution to both real and fake problems: Set up carport-style sheds with roof solar arrays in camping areas, and provide free electric cookers designed to run from the solar arrays.
The “city” will never do this because it would solve the REAL problem at the same time, which is absolutely INTOLERABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE. Solving REAL problems is an UNTHINKABLE MORTAL SIN for any US politician.
