You don’t need research, and you don’t need to specify populist. The SOLE PURPOSE of EVERY political party is to create false division and avoid real problems. Ockham and Machiavelli warned us against this trick 500 years ago. Millions of other writers have warned about it since then. Parties still do it, and it still works on some people.
By attributing the universal party trick to ONLY populists, the “researchers” have created a false division to avoid the real question. They’re just DNC party hacks.
