The AI missionaries are doing a great job, drawing people in with respect and courtesy. Apparently the bot itself does an even better job, though I haven’t tried it and won’t try it.
Predictably the anti-AI people are missing the bet again.
The same thing happened 20 years ago with pornography, and the same thing has been happening for a LONG time with all the mainstream institutions: churches, journalism, academia, politics, etc.
The cure is simple:
If you don’t want people to seek respect and affection in the wrong place, give them respect and affection in the right place.
Nobody has applied the cure. Not religion or information or politics or medicine or therapy.
The “right” places will NEVER give respect and affection to the people who need it.
When needy people come in, pay for service, and politely ask for respect, the mainstream gives them vicious contempt and harsh rejection. Been there, done with it.
