The only reliable news comes from locals who see and hear what’s happening. Around here, the only reliable news comes from the SpokaneNews facebook group. Mainstream “news” from every city and country is useless.
The previous stage of our grotesque aggressive war didn’t need any interpretation. It was LITERAL piracy, the noble basis and foundation of our “constitution” and “liberty” and “rule of law” and “democracy” and “capitalism”. We were LITERALLY boarding and taking over another country’s ships in the Caribbean.
I won’t judge the big picture of today’s action yet. Based on these local reports, it seems to be the Bush Pirate Family’s favorite gangster trick, Shock And Awe. Also known as Diversion Robbery in another context, or The Stock Market in another context. Create sudden noise and confusion without a tremendous amount of destruction. While the cops and firemen and media are focused on the big bangs, take advantage of the confusion to grab control. Steal the assets and sink the company or ship or country.

Puzzling non-bark: We claim that we have captured Maduro, which is the most blatant act of aggressive war if true. The oil we stole was legally bought by China, thus Chinese property under the maritime FOB principle. Venezuela is firmly attached to the sane side of the world, though not a member of BRICS. No response yet from China, which is a bit frustrating. China moves calmly and inexorably. We can be sure they will respond EFFECTIVELY.

I knew the earlier history but not the recent. Earlier: Before 1922, Venezuela produced and exported a wide variety of high-value materials, especially coffee and termite-proof wood. In 1922 oil was discovered, and we colorrevolutioned the nation to restrict its entire economy to oil. Graybill’s Law in action.
Recent: In 2001 Chavez broke out of Graybill and nationalized the oil industry to serve his own country. Contracts permitted existing companies to continue drilling and refining, but the companies no longer owned the rights. Bush started a classic LBO process aka gang war. He gradually ramped up internal chaos and external difficulties, eventually creating a fake internal government under Guaido. Meanwhile the nationalized oil revenue was serving Venezuela splendidly in the same way that oil serves the Oklahoma tribes. The revenue was directed under state control to build new infrastructure and industries, and to create WPA type organizations.
Last year the Bush/Trump regime finally decided to stop playing the LBO tricks, and pulled the trigger on all-out imperialist war.
