Raking record

Time to start the roof-raking record for this winter. As always, this should be in my private daily worklog, but I started doing it here, so I’ll continue the tradition.

Last winter started late and needed only one raking.

First raking this year Jan 8. Depth was 3″, not necessarily enough to justify, but everything is icing up this morning so decided to forestall ice dams.

March 1: Probably done. This was an amazingly mild winter. The rest of the country, including Oklahoma, received the winter that was addressed to us. Instead we received Seattle weather, rainy foggy 30s and 40s. One roof raking, four sidewalk shovelings. Total snow about 18″, versus average 45″.
