The “environmental” omnicidists go through fashions and phases. For a while they try one way to obliterate life on earth. Like all psychopaths they get bored easily, and move on to another form of torture and obliteration.
In today’s local “news”, the city’s Waste To Energy Plant was built at great expense 20 years ago to satisfy a previous** life-obliteration fad. Now a new fashion may force it to turn off. The “state” “government” passed a tax on breathing, forcing companies and local authorities to pay a tax every time they commit the horrible sin of feeding plants. If the tax has the desired effect, all plants will die, leading immediately to the death of all animals and people as intended.
The new tax on breathing will add $8 million to the cost of running the trash-burning generator. The “legislature” is considering an exemption, but probably won’t do it. “Legislatures” never do anything less than maximally demonic.

** The previous fad banned landfills because landfills fertilize plants. We can’t allow trash to feed plants and improve the soil. INTOLERABLE! IMPOSSIBLE! NEVER FEED PLANTS! NEVER IMPROVE SOIL!!!!!
We must send most of the trash to China by trucks and trains burning diesel, and ships burning dirty bunker fuel, and then burn some of it to make methane which may occasionally add more electricity to the grid than the facility itself uses.
