Anniversary

Jan 20 is an anniversary for me. This year isn’t a round number, but for some reason the day wants to be marked this time.

Jan 20, 1970 was the day I started housekeeping on my own. I got out of prison on Dec 19, then STUPIDLY followed expectations and returned to college at OSU. College messed me up before, so it unsurprisingly failed again. This time it failed quickly, leading to a real typesetting job at Cromwells in April.

In the process I started learning the IMPORTANT parts of life, cooking and cleaning and paying bills.

This duplex was in Stillwater. I placed it in my Kellogg Printing neighborhood as a way of retroactively starting with a job instead of college.
