While I was editing the previous item, WordPress blocked part of the editing area with a ChatGPT popup: “What can we do to improve your WordPress experience?”
Answered: “Don’t interrupt me with popups like this!”

More broadly, people might be less annoyed by AI if it actually improved our experience. Windows 11 allegedly uses AI for some purpose, but the interface is LESS adaptive than previous versions. Each menu includes dozens of choices that I have never once used in 40 years of computing. The settings I use constantly are hidden behind a dozen layers of impenetrable badly labeled menus, adding more layers with every “update”. After I find one of those settings and change it, the change doesn’t stick. It always reverts to the mode I’ve never once used in 40 years.
This is the opposite of intelligence!
The entire fucking MEANING of intelligence, from bacteria to humans, is ADAPTING TO HABITS. Intelligence makes repeated options easier to perform, makes rarely chosen options harder to reach.
