This morning’s walk to the store was sort of hurried and drab. I just wanted to Git-R-Done so I could resume working. We’ve been under a slowly rotating system for a couple days, with rain at times and breeze at times. Fortunately the heavy part stayed well to the south.
Along the way I passed through a nice garden in the median of the boulevard. This morning the daffodils were blooming, and all of them were facing the sidewalk in salient uniformity. The invisible sun was in the opposite direction.
Were they remembering the sunset? Not likely, since it was equally gloomy and overcast then. Was the white sidewalk the nearest bright area? Were they just posing for the people? In any case they brightened my day.
