I bought another Hudson book through Abebooks. This one came from Browse Awhile Books in Tipp City near Dayton. They included a wonderful little pack of premiums along with the book.
A library-style checkout card in its envelope, and the code for discounts stamped with a library-style rubber stamp. A bookmark with the picture of the store. Extra bonus, a little piece of candy.
Duane Jones, the old master of premiums, would be proud. They followed all of his advice! And I will look at Browse Awhile FIRST when I’m seeking another old book.
Googlemaps shows Tipp City has spruced itself up splendidly. I remember passing through there when I visited Dayton in the 60s. It was just another drab little town.
