Catholics have been pulling some really dumb tricks in recent centuries, worshipping billionaires and Share Value by favoring Gaia and immigration. I’m pretty sure old JC wouldn’t advise popes and priests to worship bankers and moneychangers.
Here’s a worthy countercurrent. The college of St Joseph the Worker is a trade school with strong religious overtones. Basic motto: The Word became flesh and picked up a hammer.
They have departments for carpentry (of course!), HVAC, plumbing and electrical. They aim to sacralize the natural purpose of young men, to satisfy the male need to provide and create.
Men need to make things. If men can’t make things they will break things.
