China and EU are trying to diminish touchscreens and bring back knobs and levers in cars.

This fits the theme of previous item. We’re not built to move things by pushing or touching. Our limbs and senses are strictly radial, not linear. Kinesthetic sense relies on limb angles, not two-dimensional XY location. Even physical pushbuttons are less intuitive than levers and sliders and knobs. Cars went through a pushbutton phase in the 50s and 60s then eventually returned to levers.

The article says that China followed Elon’s lead into touchscreens and now regrets it. Everyone who follows Elon regrets it. Advice from plutocrats is ALWAYS designed to help the plutocrat. Carmakers wasted billions on EVs in an attempt to imitate Elon. The result was exactly what Elon intended: disaster for his competitors.
