Suits dilute

Via Courthouse News: Some ambulance-chasing lawyers are building a class action suit against the WaPo. Not for anything remotely related to 50 years of bias. Nope, they’re suing because the WaPo charges different prices for subscriptions at different times.

What’s wrong with charging different prices? That’s BUSINESS. Newspapers are not utilities like water and electric service. Newspapers are a form of ENTERTAINMENT, nothing more. If they want to charge a million dollars a copy, it’s perfectly legal.

I hate modern newspapers, and I especially hate the WaPo which has loyally served DNC for 50 years while pretending to be the gold standard of “ethics” and “objectivity”.

I hope they win this suit decisively and avoid paying anything.

Nuisance suits DILUTE and SLOP OVER the important questions in the air today. Copyrights and theft are important. Whether I like WaPo or not, their reporters are doing actual WORK to find and write their content, and every WORKER deserves to be PAID properly and legally. When nuisance suits get coverage and set precedents, the real questions lose force and get confused in the minds of casual readers. More importantly, crap like this wastes court time and delays real proceedings.
