Why you should be careful about “BREAKING NEWS”.
East Second Ave and South Custer Rd, reported a male was cutting down tree branches when a branch knocked a power line down when falling. Reported the male was electrocuted in the process. Reported the power line is down and sparking.
Oh no! That’s awful!
Second report:
Reported the person that was electrocuted is still trying to cut branches down. First responders are not sure of any injuries from the incident.
What kind of idiot would do that?
Third report:
Reported the line that is down is a communication line intentionally taken down. Thus the reason the group of men cutting the branches continued cutting.
In other words, they’re pro treetrimmers who disconnected an internet cable before trimming a tree. Nobody was shocked or electrocuted, no power out. We’ll never know why the first report was so wrong. Maybe a concerned neighbor, maybe a swatting situation.
