Somebody posted an AI-made picture with a poll under it. The picture was supposed to be a cafe in 1975. What’s the one giveaway?
First thought: Obvious. A little black rectangle on the table.
Second thought: Well, the rectangle was just black, without a picture or screen. It could have been a leather cigarette case or pocket notebook. In 1975, but not much earlier, it could also be a Casio calculator in its folding wallet.
Nonbark sponsored by the cig case. Nobody is smoking. In real 1975 most of the people in a cafe were smoking, especially the women.
TV and movies used to make similar mistakes in real scenes, but often erred in the opposite direction. A scene supposedly in 1940 would be full of horses, or 1950 would have lots of Model Ts on the streets.
