During Bush’s worldwide concentration camp of 2020 through 2022, a few “courts” pulled cruel pranks on normal people who didn’t appreciate being tortured. The “courts” granted INDIVIDUAL exemptions from lockdown but NOT exemptions from torture. Pointless “victory”. You still couldn’t buy food or use the bus without strangling, and you couldn’t get into the places that were closed.
Now a university has pulled the same prank wrt AI, which is admittedly a far less lethal official crime.
A research administrator at Univ of Kentucky was required to use AI as part of his workflow. He believes correctly that the whole fucking point of research and learning is to use your own goddamn mind. He declared himself to be a Humanist and got the American Association of Humanists to plead on his behalf. The university gave him “conscientious objector” status under Title VII. Again it’s a symbolic fake victory. If he actually avoids committing the required crimes, he will be out of the loop and eventually fired for some other “reason.”
