More fake outrage

We have more fake outrage based on an intentionally inverted concept of reality. The latest fake whistleblower is accusing Twitter of “failing to protect user data.”

The sole purpose of social media is to gather user data and sell it to the government or anyone else who wants to buy it. That’s all. That’s the whole job description.

Accusing Twitter of failing to protect data is like accusing General Motors of failing to not make cars, or accusing Coke of failing to not make soft drinks.

The accusation is obviously weird and contrived when applied to physical products. It’s just as weird and contrived when applied to Twitter.

When you see an argument about a fake contrived question, you can be sure the argument is intended to break your understanding of the facts behind the question.
