Extinct principle

An ad from American Motorist in 1912. Seems like an odd choice of subjects. Muslims were not common or newsworthy or familiar at that time. Maybe they were trying to say discreetly that Protestants shouldn’t be trying to convert Catholics by rough methods? Those conversions were common and controversial.

After 2001, this ad would cause Warner to be bombed down to bedrock by TSA and DHS.

More broadly, this formerly obvious first rule of SALESMANSHIP is extinct. Everyone on every side of every issue tries to convert by knocking and bullying and condescending and belittling.

Calibrating: I was going along with the TSA/DHS monstrosity from 2001 to 2011. After tossing the TV, I started to think for myself and recovered my previous sanity. Again I deeply apologize to Islam for being a fucking fool.
