A constantly shifting landscape is the mark of the psychopath. Rules and expectations change abruptly without warning. Each rule doesn’t matter. The delta is what matters, what keeps the Losers from feeling stable enough to function and learn.
Since Elon bought Twitter he’s been changing the rules all the time. I never joined, so I don’t see most of the changes. I only check two or three people somewhat regularly to see if they have an interesting take on current events.
Before Elon, Twitter had a consistent appearance for nonmembers. I could see about three items deep into a thread, and I could check two or three threads before the SIGN ON NOW! banner popped up. This was enough for my ‘occasional check’ purposes.
When Elon took over, the banners disappeared entirely. I could follow as far down a thread as I wanted. Then a few weeks later it returned to the pre-Elon mode. Then a few weeks later it opened up entirely again. Today (end of a month) it’s entirely closed. When I click on one of my bookmarked Twitterites, I’m immediately faced by the SIGN ON NOW!
Keep the suckers off balance at all times.

7/7: According to “sources”, the SIGN ON NOW! has been fixed. I don’t see any change yet.
7/10: Still blocked. I need to see the Weather Service twitter feeds, so finally signed into Twitter for the first time ever.
