Here’s a new thought.
Start with two of my tiresomely repeated themes.
First: Secrecy is the default. The job of language is to maintain secrets. Every module, from cell to organism to family to tribe to guild to corporation to nation, has a set of private SKILLS and FACTS. Language develops to communicate these private matters inside the module, and secondarily to help defend the module against competitors and enemies.
Second: Guilds that specialize in hearing secrets from OTHERS will inevitably use those secrets for weapons. Priests invented this trick with confessions. When the priest knows your secrets, he has power over you.
Psychiatrists and doctors, branching off the natural priest/healer role, follow the same practice. We assume or hope that they won’t use our secrets against us, but they sometimes do.

Now combine the two.
When a guild has OFFICIAL AUTHORITY to steal secrets from other groups and USE the secrets, the guild WILL use them to do harm.
Psychiatrists gained this authority a long time ago in specialized situations. When a shrink is working with people who are already inside the legal system, like prisoners or insane asylum inmates, his orders and prescriptions can be required by law.
MDs gained this power over everyone in Obamacare, which turned everyone into inmates and developed the electronic system to spread the secrets everywhere.
MDs used this power in 2020. Private medical information is no longer private when the government wants to use it. Peasants who disobey Fauci’s orders can be prohibited from eating.
Prisons don’t have this power. They can place a recalcitrant inmate in the hole with no social contact, but they absolutely cannot refuse food or medicine, and they obey this rule.
Only innocent people can be forced to confess.
Only innocent people can be starved whenever the ruler wants to starve us.
