News this week includes a university chancellor in Wisconsin who was fired for making porn videos with his wife. He’s suing on free speech grounds. I doubt that the suit will succeed. He might have a case on contract violation, if the university didn’t run through the proper steps.
Basic fact: Big power has big risks. People who seek top positions have to obey the FEW BIG DONORS precisely and absolutely. Logic and facts are irrelevant. Deepstate does not use or understand facts, Deepstate only gives commands.
The current donnybrook about Nikki Haley’s attempt to explain Lincoln’s War is another example. She was trying to move a bit closer to historical fact than our hysterical official line. Back in the ’30s the media and books were also closer to the complicated real history. Now the real history of everything is unspeakable. All facts are unspeakable if you want to seek power. Seek or speak, no middle ground.
