No point?

I used to think that gathering and publishing facts was useful. 2020 crashed the myth. Most normal humans knew the truth, many of us were desperately trying to publish the truth, and NOTHING CHANGED.

The latest item from Brownstone reminded me of the futility.

We cannot just delete the page from the history books, as the CDC has done, and pretend like it is over and done and nothing needs to change.

Yes we can. It’s BETTER if we do. Keeping the question in the public eye GIVES THE MONSTERS MORE AMMUNITION to ruin us, and reminds them that their job of infinite obliteration is unfinished. The only practical strategy is to bore psychopaths and hope they turn their ever-burning needs in a different direction. Or hope that they will use up their resources or burn the wrong target, which does eventually happen.

This futility led me to a broader despair about knowledge and curiosity in general.

New thought: Wait. Curiosity doesn’t change minds, but CURIOSITY IS LIFE. Every living thing from bacteria to trees to mammals is curious. Bacteria are always looking for new territory. Plants explore with their seeds and roots. Bees and ants have highly organized scouting expeditions. Dogs have an insatiable need to acquire new scents.

When I damp down my curiosity because it has no external effect, I’m damping down my life.
