Listening to these Industry on Parade films reminds me that American industry has always been fanatical about recycling. REAL recycling that reuses waste internally, not the EPA-required FAKE recycling that sends the stuff to China.

First:

Industry has also been willing to do pollution control, but not when it costs too much to run a profitable business. Good pollution control for lead and coal has been around for a LONG TIME. It didn’t need to be invented.

In the 70s many foundries and smelters shut down because of EPA regs. EPA didn’t directly order them to shut down. The smelters couldn’t afford the added cost of good pollution control in a low-profit commodity under the control of speculators.

The last phrase is crucial.

Henry Wallace was trying to save farmers who also produced a low-profit commodity under the control of speculators. Each farmer couldn’t improve his soil conservation methods because it would cost too much. If he farmed properly, improper farmers would immediately win in the speculative commodity market. Wallace recognized that Wall Street is the enemy of civilization.

Wallace didn’t force the good farmers to shut down because he knew that FARMING IS A NECESSARY BUSINESS. Instead he started the Ag Adjustment Administration which SUBSIDIZED FARMERS and simultaneously trained them and helped them to use good soil conservation methods.

(Wallace’s job was easier because other parts of the New Deal built dams to improve irrigation, used the power from those dams to electrify farms, and clamped down on speculators. The whole program worked together in harmony to IMPROVE AMERICA.)

The same approach would have worked with lead and aluminum in the 1970s, if the government had WANTED to keep those industries going. A Wallace-style Commodity Adjustment Admin would subsidize smelters who built proper pollution controls BECAUSE WE NEED TO PRODUCE METALS HERE.

NIXON DIDN’T WANT TO KEEP AMERICAN INDUSTRIES GOING. He was a demonic traitor and obliterator. He served Wall Street, not America. Nixon used subsidies for the OPPOSITE PURPOSE, expanding welfare to make it EASIER for corporations to leave Detroit and Newark without stirring up riots.

Second:

Henry Wallace in charge of pollution would never have joined the lunatic psychopathic world-killing Carbon Cult. Wallace was an ag scientist in the Carver tradition before he went into government, and returned to the ag business after he was viciously kicked out by Nixon and Kennedy in HUAC. He knew how plants work. He knew that CO2 was plant food, and everything he did in government was aimed at IMPROVING PLANT GROWTH, not killing all plants. Starving plants is the quickest way to destroy all life on earth. No sane human should want to kill all plants. Only demons want to destroy all life on earth.
