Dembski writes about his experience with LLM crap. He claims that AI is a “useful assistant”, which means he’s already addicted to the crap. He admits that it’s only useful if you take the time to verify all of its claims and citations, most of which are fantasy.
Well then, why bother?
The old-fashioned secretary or clerk WAS the verifier. The lawyer or executive would come up with ideas, and the clerk would dig through the library to make sure the idea hadn’t been done before, or locate the correct citations of previous research or case law.
If the human is the verifier, this means the human is the ASSISTANT and the machine is the EXECUTIVE.
This is the world Altman wants, and Dembski is helping Altman to achieve his goal of universal control. Participating IS helping by definition. Each volunteer prompt-writer is sending data on human behavior to Altman, and the data WILL be used against us.
