A couple years ago I complained that US movies and TV were short on genuine psychopaths. Brits did a much better job of portraying the type.
Finally found a solid exception.
The villain in this movie is Sam Altman or Sam Bankman or Elon or Bezos, the Effective Altruist type.
He lives a wealthy life by borrowing and then killing the loan companies. (LBO) He uses some of his wealth to appear as a philanthropist. (Effective Altruism) He is calm and philosophical at all times, supremely confident that his system of creating perfect alibis will work forever. (Craig Wright) When finally caught, he calmly and philosophically describes how he did it, even though the confession will get him executed. He’s a strictly logical machine with no human emotions or morality. Pure Altman.
